Learning Methodology
The Threshold Systems Approach to Learning:
Threshold Systems provides a unique and multi-faceted approach to training that is highly effective in communicating complex technical information and which is not present in other training programs. The Threshold Systems approach involves instructors who have many years of hands-on experience fabricating real-world semiconductor devices and who are also dynamic and engaging public speakers. A key component of the Threshold Systems approach is a set of class notes that are extensively illustrated with high-quality 2D and 3D graphics that feature numerous ross-sectional and top-down SEM and TEM photographs of leading edge commercial devices. These notes are in full-color, profusely illustrated and technically current. The instructor’s slides are also dynamic featuring three-dimensional models that can be rotated and viewed from any angle to reveal the details of device microstructure and their inner workings. For many students it is the first time that they can actually visualize what the device structures really look like.
This approach demystifies device architecture and allows the student to obtain a qualitative understanding of the fundamentals before moving on to complex concepts.
Threshold Systems instructors are skilled at engaging the audience they are teaching, drawing out questions and promoting technical discussions that are a central component of the learning experience. The combination of these factors creates a unique learning experience that rapidly and clearly communicates key technical concepts and demystifies the science of microchip fabrication, while at the same time maintaining a high level of student interest.
This kind of training results in a dramatic increases in employee effectiveness.
